mccarty13@socal.rr.com BioFor the past eleven years Mike McCarty has worked at one of the top make-up effects companies in the film industry, KNB efx. He has worked on many high profile projects. His list of credits most recently include Kill Bill 1 and 2, Sin City, Hostel, and The Chronicles of Narnia (which won an Oscar for best makeup).
His treatment titled Junk, a kids Sci-fi action story, was optioned by Demo Productions and sold to Dimension/Miramax. He is a current member of the HWA and has recently teamed up with acclaimed horror writer James A. Moore as his mentor. He has many short stories being shopped around and is working on his first novel. He currently lives in the San Fernando valley with his lovely wife Grace and dog Mac.
